The Lord of my Righteousness

Righteousness is not a word used much in common speech, except when speaking of self-righteousness. But it is a word which conveys significant meaning when we speak of our relationship with God.

We can only have a relationship with him if we are righteous, but how can that be? Is righteousness the same as holiness – and who of us can claim to be holy anyway?
