We’d love to welcome you to Australind Baptist Church! Here’s some information to help you when visiting…
When to arrive
Our Sunday morning service begins at 9.30am, and there’s plenty of parking available. We share in morning tea after the service, but the urn is always on beforehand too, so feel free to arrive earlier than 9.30am!
What to wear
The easy answer… whatever you feel comfortable in! We’re an informal church who accept people as they are. There’s no need to dress up if that’s not who you are – whether you’re coming from home, work or the gym, we’ll be glad to see you!
What to expect
Please be assured we aren’t perfect, super-spiritual beings! We’ve all had a ‘first time’ at church, so if you don’t understand something, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Our Sunday service opens with prayer and a Bible reading by the service leader, followed by a time of musical worship led by our live band. Church and community notices after our song service aim to inform and include our congregation and visitors in the vibrant life of the church. A monetary offering is not collected manually, however there are opportunities for those who want to make a financial investment in our church and the community development programs we provide. This can be done by putting offerings or donations in the box on our welcome table, or by giving electronically. Visitors are welcome to give, however please don’t feel embarrassed if you choose not to do so.
Communion is served fortnightly, for those who have made a Christian commitment. If you are unsure whether or not to participate, you’re encouraged to simply observe this time, and then chat with our Pastor about it after the service if you wish.
Our Pastor will then lead us in teaching from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives, before we end our service with a final song and some cuppa-and-connect time.
A fun, interactive activity is often provided for children during the Pastor’s time of teaching, while a cry room is available for parents with babies and young toddlers.
For those with disabilities
We aim to be an all-inclusive church, and our premises are therefore accessible for those with disabilities, including reserved parking spaces near the entrance. If you wish to discuss specific needs, please contact the church office.
Whether you’re new to exploring Christianity, or have been a Christian for some time, we pray that you’ll be encouraged, inspired and uplifted by our Sunday service, and experience the love of God
