Real Friends - Loving Childcare - Come as You Are
Church on SundayReal friends - Loving childcare - Come as you are
Church services are held 10am every Sunday at the Australind Senior High School Performing Arts Theatre, Break'O'Day Drive, Australind, Western Australia We invite you to visit Australind Baptist Church soon, and when you do we want to promise you three things:
i) Real friendship
ii) Loving care for your children and teens
iii) A "Come as you are" attitude where everyone is accepted.
Here's some info to help you get the most out of your visit ....
When to arrive
If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 9.45am. If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is plenty of free parking. For directions go [
HERE]. You'll be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will give you some information about the church and notices of upcoming events.
What to wear
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not. Whether you come straight from work, the gym or from home we will be glad to see you.
What to expect
First of all we aren't perfect, super-spiritual beings. We all had a 'first day' at church, so if you don't understand something please simply ask.
10am Take a seat, the worship service is about to start. Our Sunday service consists of new songs from around the globe, played by a live band. The service leader (or MC if you like), will introduce the songs, read from the Bible and lead the gathering in prayer. An offering is collected. This is for people who have decided to make a financial investment in the church based community development programs we provide. Visitors and guests are welcome to give, however, please don't feel embarrassed if you do not wish to make a contributution.
10.20am Everyone participates in the worship but at about 10.20am the kids go to their own Sunday School groups. We also provide space with a "live feed" video link up for parents with little ones (see the children's page
for more info). Communion is then served for the adults. This is for those people who have made a Christian commitment. If you are unsure whether or not you should participate, you're welcome to simply observe this uniquely Christian practice (then ask the Pastor about it after the service).
10.30am We then have a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged, inspired and uplifted by the morning. Our hope is that everyone will have experienced God in some way.
11am We finish our morning around 11am with a cuppa. What we believe
We are a Christian church and believe that all people can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God's only son) who invites us to follow him. We have friendly relationships with other local churches from both traditional and modern backgrounds and we are affiliated with the Baptist Churches of Western Australia. If you are interested in exploring faith then please come along on a Sunday or contact the office
to ask for a free booklet.
Is it just Sundays?
Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us we have midweek small groups (a small group is simply a meeting of maybe 10 people in someone's house). Small groups are a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living. If you are just looking into Christianity you are welcome to come along to a small group but you may prefer to join a Christianity Explained group. This is a great way to find out more about God and the claims of Christianity. No question is too stupid and you'll find other people also exploring God for the first time. Contact us
to find out more.
For those with disabilitiesWe aim to be an all inclusive church. However our resources are limited so we try to provide for our current attendees. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact
the church office. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance.
